Try looking into Mail Haulers. Around my area, Veltri pays $27 an hour for Part Time work. Many other contract carriers have Part Time work as well. And the Postal Service is VERY PRO MILITARY.
I don't know if they hire inexperienced drivers, but I have seen Finkle train new students, so you might wanna ask if they hire new drivers.

Chewy352 Thanks this. -
Are you 100% certain you want to get out? I spent 7 years as a corpsman and kick myself for leaving as I'd be retired in another 2 years.
Maybe you could check out the local hospitals. Pulling the mobile clinics, mri's and x-Ray machines around...pretty sure that's not a full time gig anyway. Good luck. -
Awesome thanks !
Oh yeah , it's been real and it's been cool , but it hasn't been real cool. A lot has changed and much of it isn't for the better..lol. We can talk more offline of you like via PM. Oh and thanks for the heads up !Chewy352 Thanks this. -
One time in Florida I was with another Navy vet and he started chatting with a female sailor. He called her a WAVE, not knowing any better, and she went berserk on him. Later that day I saw another one with the Yeoman insignia, and playing dumb, ask her what the crossed feathers/quills mean and she said, "I'm a Yeoperson." Geeze.
My wife, in the avatar, asked me, "Why do those Navy women have such a bad attitude?" -
Lol, no idea..

Do you know anybody who knows somebody?

It would be about impossible with the schedule for after navy job part time work. The hos would limit you heavily.
You have to log your navy job as on duty not driving, then if you burn up your 14 a ten hour break will be required before driving.
Really only Saturdays or Sundays you could pull it off.
A local farmer pulling hay, grain, what ever would be a place to start.
But with your full time navy job, you really have to make sure your HOS are legal. -
It's shore duty,so I'm not at work very long out of the day.

I respect your motivation.I was always too tired from 60 hrs week to desire a second job!
