Will you stay in San Diego after discharge?

10-4, your on duty time at your Navy job still counts against your 14 each day. Just want to make sure you understand the regs on HOS.

Any other job you can work 24 hours a day, three jobs a day, 7 days a week.

Trucking, your regulated to 14 hours a day 60/70 hours a week. Minus what you put in at your other job prior to starting your shift at driving.

Oh no,lol, cost of living is way too high. We're looking to go back to Oklahoma afterwards. I just figure a part time gig will help build experience. making me more marketable when I leave.
Oh certainly and I understand,I figure I can get in a day or two before a weekend or just do weekends. The biggest thing is obtaining real world experience and some racecar project money along the way.

Oklahoma is good for trucking jobs. Many years ago I lived on Holly Ave. in Imperial Beach. Super nice area at the time; don't know how it is now.

Lots of good companies hire Oklahoma drivers.
    Paul Transportation in Tulsa.
    Melton Truck Lines in Tulsa.
BT Express Global Services in Weatherford,OK
    Freymiller in Oklahoma City.
that's a few of them; plenty more.

You do know that your full time job will have to be on line 4 for your logs...

I've heard local/oilfield pays better tah typical OTR. I'd like to do RGN/heavy haul.

    Yes I do

Lone Star Transportation has an excellent reputation. Take a look at the website and if you like the company, work toward that goal.
I recommend getting 12 mos. flatbed OTR experience, then go to Lone Star Transportation.
