I start driver training 2 Dec. 2013. I already have my CDL and have driven some TT. The most fun was hauling combat tanks for the Army Reserve.

I completed RDTCs 3 week course. I am at home until after the new year then I go out with an over the road trainer for 2 weeks. When I get through that I get my own truck and can start earning mileage.

Sweet! So im assuming you got your class A then? Im guessing my training with Roehl will go a little different as I already have my class A I just need my week of orientation and then off with my trainer for 2 weeks.

I had my CDL class A BUT... I hadn't driven for a long time so they put me through the 3 week get your CDL class. I did the same things that the no CDL folks do except take a test with an examiner. I tested out to the same standard with my trainer. Your class will be doing the same things I did but at an accelerated rate. You will be evaluated the same standard as a non-CDL holder by your trainers.

My Roehl recruiter was spot on. I was taken care off and informed impeccably.

I'm just saying they want your butt in a seat and will tell you anything and everything you want to hear, wait till you see your first month's pay. you'll whimper like a lost child. I would be very cautious with those big box companies they are all the same. turn and burn you and find every way they can to screw you the backbone of the company out of you're pay... I recently had to leave the best company I ever worked for Jacobson trucking due to spouses illness wish I never left. I have been tormented with calls from Roehl A exp. us exp. they all suck out too long and not enough pay for the experience I have. This industry is stuck in 1950 state of mind where pay come's in just be ready for it. Get your experience and get the heck out of there and get on with a good company. good luck!!!!
