Signing my log book

Never have signed before the end of day and I go to Canada every week.

 

holy crap when i start the day i get the crap out the way so all i got to worrie about is the time aloted

 

I was taught to sign it at the beginning of the day from my boss. He has done this for ten years and has yet to get a violation for signing it this way.

Well, when you signed it, it was true and complete?

 

So you signed a blank legal document?

I would NEVER do that.

 

By not signing at the begeining of the day it is a form and matter violation and will if you are writen up result in I think 2 CSA 2010 points under fatiged driver basic. If you don't believe me look it up for yourself.

 

I don't see anything about a signature, legible or legibale.

Thanks for all the replies and the links to the big book. Makes sense that signed or not I will get a ticket if its wrong.

 

Many years ago, like say 10 years ago, it was mentioned that if not a legible signature, it must be printed below the signature.
