Anti-gel such as Howes or Diesel 911 is much cheaper at farm supply stores by as much as a 40% discount under truck stop prices...

Yeah, I never bought it at the TS's unless Prime was paying for it. LOL, I was a company driver though, so they really had no issue paying for it. Plus when ever I was in at the Terminals I stocked up.
I was always more worried about the trailers gelling than my truck, you never knew where that trailer was fueled last,

Hey silenteagle, what size dufflebag would you recommend for going on with a trainer? I knoww its a silly question, but I don't wanna take up more space then allowed.

How about ONE bag big enough to fit all of your stuff in? If your instructor and trainer isn't a complete jerk, you'll get some cabinet space for storage, say about 2 cubic feet at most. Your bunk is about 100" x 30". All of your stuff, including your soft-sided luggage needs to fit into that kind of space allotment. If you can't fit it into any cabinet space you're allowed, you'll need to be able to sleep with it. The cab and sleeper of a training truck is a very small universe, so don't be taking your entire life with you. It's only for about 3 months of your life and future career.

I dont want to buy too big of a bag and take up more space then I already will be when on a truck. I don't wanna be that guy that has way to big of a bag for a trainer/instructor truck. I wanna make the experience a conflict free.

When on my instructors truck everything I had I slept with food included. Had just enough room for my feet at the end of the bed. My trainer gave me slot of space neatly half the storage area. Prepare for the worst hope for the best. And remember you will probably accumulate more things before its over.

I'm thinking worst case scenario, but I figure if I can eliminate some of issues trainers have with trainees in bringing excessive stuff along.

This is what I was thinking from the military surplus. Just this bag and a heavy coat. Am I on the right track or do I need smaller?

A sea bag takes up a good deal of space, and they're difficult to retrieve stuff from, in my experience.
