Silicon Valley Bank Collapsed

They should get paid today or tomorrow. The Fed guaranteed all losses from Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, a $100 Billion New York bank that quietly failed right after SVB.

Why do we even have an FDIC with a $250K limit and insurance that banks pay for it when the Fed will arbitrarily insure everything in banks they choose apropos of nothing?

 

No one has shown a causul link yet. Particularly when the UK branch (where the "woke" individual was the risk officer) had multiple offers and was sold off within one business day.

The problem was they had "too many deposits" in 2021 and plowed them into mortgage backed assets, planning on large growth through acquisition. They expected their deposits to at least remain stable through 2023, but when interstate rates rose, VC had other options to invest coupled with contraction in the tech sector meant new cash stopped flowing into the startups who started buying through their cash on hand, which created a feedback loop.

Regulators shouldn't have allowed to aquire Boston Private and should have been subject to as much scruity as legally allowed. Neither of which have anything to do with "wokeness".

 

If the FDIC insures an individual up to $250k.... You really have to not care about your money to give the bank $250,000.01.

 

You hire 5 employees and thier only major qualification is they are woke/lgbq women. You have them making decisions that bring the company crashing down because you substituted thier wokness for experiance and good judgement.

Besides all the baseless unfounded crap we get fed all day long sometimes it just deserves a little in return. Problem is I doubt the wife would be spouting out totally untrue statements. She got it from someplace and unlike our politicians lies don't just fall out of her mouth everytime she opens it.
