The lady was uninjured. I even paid for her copay to go see a doctor. I didn't want any surprises. She was a very nice elderly lady and I was doing things how I was raised. Be respectful of your elders, as I was taught.

I was literally going 2mph faster than her when we touched. Any suggestions as to how you would avoid that situation while merging? Maybe I missed something in my pondering?

PS. I put the accident on my apps so far. I may be many things. A womanizer (if that term is even used anymore), a hot head, even a jerk depending who you ask, but I am no liar.

I was replying to the ones telling you not to put it on your AP. It can backfire not listing it. We live in a era when people will take you to court for nothing. Always be prepared for the unexpected. All I am saying is you hit a car from behind doesn't matter the trucking co's and insurance will say it is a preventable. You did not allow stopping distance or an out.
