i can answer at least on pulling through to spots. i still do it whenever possible. makes sense...BUT, i have never hit anything backing in anywhere. but i have had a quite a few bumps pulling in forward.

otherwise i dont do most of that stuff. i take the open spaces, and in back. i do have one jackhammer of an apu so i always try to park at the end facing away from anyone.

I got used to the extra noise, but if that qualcom beeps in the middle of the night and I am awake.. the Icon system in the truck beeps when it's about to start the engine and never wake up.. guess my brain says that's not an important beep stay asleep.

I try to park away from folks, but they seem to insist on listening to the reefer. Which reminds me I need to put it in sentry mode..

If you're parking next to my tanker you will get both idling and clearance lights because my load is temperature sensitive. The trailers have engine coolant piped through them and have a electronic control vale which requires power supplied through the light system.

BTW, ever have a pig hauler park nearby and the pigs get into a scrap? It's an experience!!!:biggrin_2559:
