Simple chain box ideas

    I'll try to remember tomorrow, I was limited by crossmembers on the length and driveline on the depth. But to me it looks cleaner than the premade drop in boxes, here's a picture of it closed (no comments about it being dirty) this is after I removed the section behind the box that was there in the first pictures.

    That's mine. Ten 20' hang on the rack and go in the front box. I have another ten tail chains in the back half. I keep 4 ratchet binders with straps in the step box. Plan to add another step box soon.

    Because I had zero storage on the truck, so I built that for storage. Then got the idea to put the batteries in there and mounted 18" step boxes on each side. It gave me a lot more storage and made the truck look better.

    Flip over lid for the chains hanging on the hook slots, front half (storage compartment) would be for binders I'd imagine.

    Loose chains and binders in the cab will get you a ticket ! and a lump on your noggin if something goes real wrong !
