I'll try to remember tomorrow, I was limited by crossmembers on the length and driveline on the depth. But to me it looks cleaner than the premade drop in boxes, here's a picture of it closed (no comments about it being dirty) this is after I removed the section behind the box that was there in the first pictures.

That's mine. Ten 20' hang on the rack and go in the front box. I have another ten tail chains in the back half. I keep 4 ratchet binders with straps in the step box. Plan to add another step box soon.OLDSKOOLERnWV, Driver0000, snowman_w900 and 9 others Thank this. -
Because I had zero storage on the truck, so I built that for storage. Then got the idea to put the batteries in there and mounted 18" step boxes on each side. It gave me a lot more storage and made the truck look better.OLDSKOOLERnWV, snowman_w900, cke and 5 others Thank this.

Flip over lid for the chains hanging on the hook slots, front half (storage compartment) would be for binders I'd imagine.OLDSKOOLERnWV, snowman_w900, cke and 6 others Thank this.
