Sorry, I wasn't aware of that. I'm just finishing trucking school after taking a 18 year hiatus from the industry. Before that, I drove lowboy locally only for an excavating company. It's a good thing to know so I don't go looking for a job with someone who would impose a bunch of stuff like that on me. I've always had faith on my fellow man, and been royally screwed for that. Sounds like it could be a great opportunity, onlt of the guy is fair on it.

I dont think so. Im not that kind of person.

Well seems like you don't know what I'm looking for. The contract I'm looking for is saying how much the driver will be paid and how his safety bonus is going to work. And yes if he hits something and tears it he will be responsible. That's life. I don't know who you work for and don't care but if the do all the charges that you state i wouldn't work for them either. All I asked was for a simple contract not all this ########.

I'm leased onto a pretty good size company and I'm adding between 2-4 trucks. And yes we haul frac sand. And true there are a lot of companies that pay slow. Thats why I work for who I work for. Money is good and its there every Friday.

mark,
not for nuttin, you asked a general question and you are going to get answers from all sorts, and thats whats good about your answers
you see, no one sees things the same way, not two owners, not two drivers, so if you are crying about grief from some drivers, i cant imagine what would happen if you and a driver get into a difference of opinion
THATS LIFE -
I'm not crying from grief. I know you cant get 2 drivers to agree on anything. That's the problem with trucking. I just want to be honest with my drivers. And them to be honest with me. plain and simple.

Did you ever find a Contract?
-
Don’t call it a contract, call it an agreement. It will be easier to fool a driver to sign it.
-
It’s been 6 years so I hope so

How does that work, when a driver hits something he has to pay, hmmm no need for insurance anymore. lol
I have seen drivers sign contracts where they are responsible for any breakdowns, parts and labor. In fact a friend just brought one over for me to go over, from an employer that he was thinking about working for.
