Simple question weight

Weight and volume are totally different.

 

For sure.
I used to haul some 20 foot sea cans with 45k in them.
Plus the weight of the can and the weight of the chassis.

that’s a very squirrelly load.
And we had to run them on the state highways instead of the interstate.
Where we were, the state highways had a higher gross weight limit than the interstate.

 

I know that. In fact I even discussed them both, right here in this very thread.

 

Just say no to TQL. Straight up No TQL loads at all and as far as weight just imagine all loads will be gross and sometimes it will be what is says

 

I’m still wondering if OP booked it as a partial or full truckload. If he booked it as a partial then I’d want more money, if he booked it as full truckload then oh well. Simple air gauges on their truck and trailer would’ve given them enough info to resolve this issue before they left the shipper.

 

Light loads, 6,000 lbs full trailer Dow, insulation.Rails, load in the boonies, going to the scrap yard, that's the only scale you want to cross.
