Old post, and Otter, your exactly right. One time I had a single axle hooked to what I thought was 25K, and got about 2 blks down the road, and just knew something was not right, just about to get on the interstate, had a real bad feeling, pulled over, says to myself, where the heck is that bill, looked at it 45k of ocean spray juice. called dispatch, I forgot to tell loaders I get the light load.

It's a goose neck. There is nothing air about this trailer. You could hook this trailer up to your Ford F-350 with a 5th wheel and be perfectly fine. It does have automatic parking brake thing if you lose the trailer by some chance. Other than that no brakes lol

You couldn't put an electric brake controller in the cab?

This last tractor that we hauled a goose neck with was a 3axle. And it had one I think it was a energize 3 or something along those lines but I don't think it did anything. Old technology. And the picture I posted was the first day we picked the truck. It is possible that they put one in since I've been gone from there.
