French press' are nice, but imo messy. Strength can be controlled easily by how much water you use

I have a Keurig on my truck. I buy Starbucks Sumatra K-cups in bulk on the internet. Usually pay around .54 to .58 per k-cup. I run water through the same k-cup twice for a 20 oz cup of very good tasting coffee. Not a bad deal compared to what these truck stops charge.

thought they'd experimented with a coffee bag a while back but it was not that popular so they scrapped the idea. Any way nothing beats a nice cup of Flying J coffee or not.

I tried using the Preso MyJo and never was very satisfied with it. It's a manual K-Cup brewer where you put hot water in it and press to make your own K-cup coffee. I could never get the coffee to taste strong enough. That can be caused by not using hot enough water, not enough coffee, or too much water. My experiments never found a great result. I even pushed the water through the K-cups twice.

I now use a single serve drip device that rests on top of your coffee cup/mug. It works just like a regular drip coffee brewer but it's smaller. Just put "single serve drip cone" into the search window at Amazon. Here is one of numerous items just to see what they look like. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KKRLQIC Mine uses a #2 filter. I empty 2 k-cups into my drip cone and pour almost boiling water over it. That makes strong coffee that fills my travel mug. I never liked the Starbucks coffee in any form. They over-roast their coffee which makes it bitter. Some people think because they charge a lot of money for a cup it must be good. IMO, Starbucks takes advantage of people not knowing what good coffee is supposed to taste like. It doesn't have to be bitter even if it's strong enough to help you move.

I also use an electric kettle (120v AC) which heats up water in about a minute or two, much faster than microwave. You can use a household drip filter cone/basket over a thermos if you want to make a lot of coffee

This is about as low budget single serve as it gets. No point in getting fancy. Screenshot_20171027-204533.png
