Here is what I know, from reading Orbitcast.com http://www.orbitcast.com/
Mel Karmazin, the CEO is fighting to save his #####. He owes DishTV $175,000,0000, and the payment is due next Tuesday. The CEO at Dish TV, Charlie Ergen, says he is willing to forgive the debt, in exchange for control of the company. Ergin and Karmazin aren't friendly at all, and if that happens, Karmazin's butt is out the door. Karmazin is trying to get Liberty Mediam the company that runs Direct TV to buy up the debt, because they won't be so "hands on" and continue to let old Mel run the company into the ground.
There is an article on Orbitcast, that explains what it means to us subscribers. It says that satellite radio, will get bought up by SOMEONE. The infrastructure is in place, there are 20 million subscribers, so it is a real attractive buy. I'm thinking it's going to have to look a lot different. Stern is a $100 million a year drain, so is baseball. Those two are the biggies. I doubt Oprah and Martha Stewart will be around much longer either. XM siruis will be around, it just probably going to look a lot different a month from now than it does today. -
See, here's where YOU went wrong. I got an I-Pod

Well ... now we know who to blame for this mess.
-
Its not his fault if they are too stupid to shut off service for non payment of bill.
He rarely needs his, he lives/works in town where there are other "free" stations. -
just give me my galaxy 33 and a good ol' antenna.... its free and cleared

Oh yeah that's entertainment. MF-er this, MFer that, "I ain't got no panties on." "where's that commercial company at?" "MFing ni**ers"
Not my idea of entertainment, but to each his own I guess. -
I think it is worth at least
$22.00 for best of XM/ SIRIUS package
and about $ 8.95 - 10.00 for additional radios etc.
I would about die with out it I would pay 25.00 or more for it for sure good intertainment they should reorganize their contracts and try to free up some space and maybe not give away so many free radios and consolidate some of the less popular chanels HOWARD doesnt need 2 channels
SPORTS / Good
MUSIC / can have some consolidation
NEWS / good
I am sure if they break it down they can find away to save this or sell it off to a person or group .
panhandlepat Thanks this. -
