I saw marks u tube vid how he used lmr 240 and makes the better connection..

Rabbi my intent was to have it sit anout a 1/2" over the roof top..
I have no set plan yet just decideing on ideas..Just not willing to drill into the roof..The mag mount will not be on all the time, just during travel..Thought about trk bed post mounts but i dont see them really working all that well..
I dont know..I got a wack of $ on hold with mark so im still decideing what path to take..

Keeping it simple saves money and performs great. Getting fancy with light bars and roll bars and antenna extensions, gets expensive and ruins the performance of the antenna.
Lifting the antenna from the roof and elevating it on a bracket 1/2" from the sheetmetal will destroy the efficiency of the antenna while costing you money.

That is the whole point in using a magnet mount antenna. It is for those who don't want to drill a hole for best performance, and want a temporary antenna which can be removed anytime. Just stick it to the roof and drive. when done, throw it in the cab so it doesn't get stolen.

    bored silly Thanks this.

A Cobra 18 and that magnet mount Sirio antenna on your dodge will outperform a Stryker 955 in a tractor trailer.
Don't need to get fancy with the Dodge.

Yeap..The roof of my ram is not 100% flat so thats partly whe i thought of another way to do it..Where its not flat the mag might not have enuf metal to grab on to..

Might not be flat but is flexible. I haven't found a roof a magnet mount won't work on other than Range Rovers.(aluminum)
