I figured it would be which is why i said ill pull a coil..Still to much if i pull a coil and use a 9" or 6" shaft?? I got one or the other..
-
Why not just use the antenna that was made for that magnet? I like to keep it simple
-
I'm not sure what removing a coil has to do with anything.
You could cut the shaft down 2 an inch long and the coil wouldn't need to be removed -
Its another purchase..Doubt the one mark has comes with said ant..
-
Removeing a coil will drop wind drag..Kale told me at time to do that basically makes it a comp..No better but less resistance/loss..
-
That is true to a point but it's a heavy antenna with lots of mass to begin with. No matter how much you remove it will always weigh more than the Sirio antenna

Package deal 99 bucks for everything -
since when lol

I ordered a package deal from sirio in cali..$95..Had it shipped to mark so he could upgrade the coax and make a stronger connection..Also asked him to do me up another 955 with the lowered floor mod and ranger mike..
Also thinkin as i was driven....Just for chits n giggles why not get a piece of plywood cut it to rough size of truck roof, cover that ply wood with a sheet of metal and anchor it to the truck bed..Now i can also mount a tri mag and run my 7ft skip shooter..
Just random thoughts..
As for my crapcadia and mounting a 7ft on it....I thought if i left my 40" tall cascadia mirror mount in place and take a normal ant mirror arm mount and attached it to the 40" say half way up the shaft, use a normal ant mount then attach my 7ft ss to that(a way to stabilize the long ant)..
Wonder if that would do anything good or bad for trans/rec
