I was just searching for something in FMCSA rules and regs, and my "key words" brought up a post on TTR from 2008 from another poster. So it seems, anything we post here goes "world wide" instantaneously!

So.....thanks to TTR, we are all cyber experts and we are all correct....since it is on the internet!

I'm not aware of any forums or forum software that have a feature allowing specific posts within a thread to be de-indexed. We'd have to build that feature ourselves, which would be expensive and not practical.

If your account name here is the same as you use elsewhere and you want to make it difficult for someone who has your name on other sites to find your content here, we could just change your account name to something else.

Perhaps the easiest way to deal with this, is to just not post anything that you don't want the whole world to read! Because once it is in cyberspace, it is there forever, or so I've been told.

You've seen my posts. You know that's irrelevant advice.

I have tried to click on the members on line tab to see who is online and this is the message that I get. You used to be able to type in a name under members on the old forum now I can't seem to get to that section. Can you help me figure this out?

Access to the full member list has always been restricted (standard anti-spam tactic). The new software 'Members Currently Online' cuts off without displaying everyone (server performance and design/usability reasons), and unfortunately the permission to see the full 'Members Currently Online' list is tied to the permission to see the full member list. We can't enable one without enabling the other, and since the need to see a full list of members currently online is less than the need to prevent spam, I chose to err on the side of safety.

So, it's not exactly a bug... think of it as a safety feature :)

the site keeps freezing up on me.

I have windows 8.1, and am using IE 11.

no other website is doing this. I get at the bottom of my screen, "truckers report not responding, or recover website"

sometimes, as I type in a message, it freezes doing that as well.

sometimes, I have to close the tab, open up a new one, then the same things happen all over again.

I ran a Malware Bytes scan, and recently a scan from, AdwCleaner.

Clear your cache and cookies, let me know how it goes. How long has this been happening for you?
