The lawyers think differently. We have now been advised to turn off our phones on our 10 hours. Lawyers are pulling cell records and successfully arguing that drivers could not have been rested if they were making, answering and sending texts for most of their 10 hour rest break. The government is one problem - the lawyers are a whole different animal.

What ticks me off is that the large fleets implement these draconian and stupid procedures (speed limiters, eld's, cams, etc) in order to reduce their liability and thus their insurance expenses. Once they realize that it puts them at a competitive disadvantage, they buy some politicians to shove it down all of our throats in order to level the playing field that they screwed up to begin with.

Fearmongering. Sorry friend, I am immune. The biggest advantage lawyers have is that the vast majority of drivers lack a spine AND half of them are stupid.

Easy pickings, dont you think?
