I have been with this little company bout 7 months. For the last 15 years or so I had been pulling vans or reefers and had never even thought of going flatbed. Till I met the owner. He was willing to take a chance on someone with no flat bed experience. Well the ride has been interesting. I basically run eastern Colorado, all of Kansas and a little of Missouri. I am home every weekend and best of all I am paid salary. Some weeks I am paid more than I earn and other I earn more than I am paid. But in the end it all evens out. I think the best part is all the stress is on the owner. If the loads aren't there, I still get paid. If the truck breaks down I still get paid. If weather slows me down I still get paid. As a driver I can't loose. Just wanted to give a shout out and kudos to my boss.

Lumper Humper and tarmadilo Thank this.

Salary? How does that work in real life? Sounds kind of kookie!

Never heard of a trucker getting salary. Get paid every week?

Paid every Friday. The salary part works great for me. I know every week what I have to pay bills. If I only run 1,600 one week or 3,200 it all balances out. Since I started it has averaged out to .54 a mile. Not bad considering I am home every weekend. The wife loves the consistent money and home time..

Link to their website? Search for six sigma in Denver gives pages of useless results.

Thought it sounded interesting myself, but no current info out there. Whatever else he may be good at the owner isn't adept at search engine placement. :^)

The OP on this thread was over a year ago.

Here's an obsolete job listing that has some interesting no-nonsense language, 73 mph trucks for example...

    And here's a D&B page with a phone number...
