Skateboard vs Drop Deck

    You're not alone. I live here and I'm not real fond of it either.

    Anyhow, the upper deck of a step deck is typically 11 feet in length. So if you're hauling anything longer than 37 feet long on a 48 foot step deck you will have to prop up the rear end of the load.

    Thanks. Good info. Hey, you're in the Baltimore area? I spend a lot of time in Glen Burnie. You don't service the Port? What type of freight are you running? Is being here give greater time home?

    I work in LTL, with a route down to southern MD every day.

    Well, you have several major highways through the state. So that helps for getting routed home.
