    You can easily improve the audio on most export radios right from the 4558 mic amp by re configuring the circuit between pins 1+2. and still have full control of the amc / alc circuits.

    Dang the 18 foot thread got locked :(
    Anyways my mike was acting up and I got it fixed, plus some stuff to hook a cb up in my pickup, if I ever want to.
    And YES , I got 18 feet of coax.
    A steel Hustler antanae and the Polymar mic :)
