    EZ.

Be careful, it can be addictive. But it helps pass time when you are stuck just sitting in the truck

    EZ Money Thanks this.

Thanks hayseed! You are right! It is fun.
I noticed while rolling down the highway it is much harder to talk DX.

I do all my skip talking in the pick-up. Can't run a linear in the "big truck", lucky to talk 2 miles in a friggin Freightliner!! I ran a base one time with a Macco 750, a HR 2510, hooked up to a Astro Plane. If I could hear them, I could talk to them. Coolest contact was a trucker rolling down the road in Oregon, and then talked to another trucker in FL as he rolled on down the road. Really needed a good beam for that set up!

I have a Wilson 1000, mounted right in the middle of the roof.......2000 GMC Sonoma Extended Cab. Couldn't get a good rf ground on the bed and didn't like the look on the front fender, so just drilled a hole and mounted it in what is really the best place to mount one anyway! (you're probably just getting up and it is a little past time for me to go to bed, so I'll catch up on this later.........bye bye)

Awesome. Used to run a Wilson 1k mag mount on the roof dead center of my S-10. Stock 4 watt Cobra 21 GTL radio from 1979...I was able to talk to a guy once from MO. to W. Va and then to Penn. Put a 102 on and talked from MO. to Canada and Fla.

Wished I had a beam on the house though. :biggrin_255:
