Yes, you can go around them. And I would suggest doing it every time. This I know having a perfectly clean record, and knowing the roads. Learn the roads, use your cb. Download truckers path. Run at night, and pay attention to times and areas that the DOT works over truckers.
These people make the law's, enforce the law's and have never driven a truck in there life, let alone try and make a living out of it.SlantSix, sunflyer, ramblingman and 2 others Thank this. -

People are touchy tonight.. On the subject of DOT, Seen a awesome ad. It had a DOT officer giving a ticket for to "much" chrome. It made me chuckle.
Back to our reg scheduled programing. -
The HP always sets that up before an exit that almost no one has any business exiting at , and they wait at the top for all the knuckleheads to panic at the sight of the sign and make a knee jerk reaction and peel off that exit... right into the waiting hands of Johnny Law .
Talk about self incrimination! -
On an parallel subject.... any driver worth his salt needs to be able to wiggle through the trees when the crap hits the fan.
Just tonight I avoided multiple road closure backups (i95 SC) and construction snafus by rerouting myself through the bushes.
I saw TWO other trucks in that 60 mile stretch of two lane black top... all of the others chose to sit in the madness.
NOT ME. I ain't skeert to knock down a pine bough.
