I am looking for a XM radio for the truck (when I get one in about a month now) and also looking at a new phone.
Curently have ATT and not under contract. Saw the skydock and thought there is a good idea. not only is it a XM radio, it's a place to store and charge the phone. i am not sure about this in a truck though, with that stalk would it bounce all over or be steady? I am also not sure I want a iphone.
The other route OnyX with a seperate phone. Cost about $15 more for the XM stuff (phone extra), now there is 2 devices to mount instrad of 1, also means a extra power cord, etc...
Anybody have any experience with the skydock in a truck?

I've been thinking about it too. Let us know how it works out for you.

Hopefully it will work for you, I gave up my iPhone and ATT mainly due to Canadian roaming charges but signal reception really sucked. I can honestly say that between Edmonton, Ab and KCK it was way less than 50% of the time that I could get online.
That said... I don't know what level of signal you need to make the Sat radio work...maybe only phone, maybe you need internet, but with ATT I'd find out. -
I got an xm skydock and added a universal vent mount to the back of it and a lighter extension cord so its easier to access the controls, haven't had any problems at all I love it
