How long ago was all of this? I am concerned that they (a new company I am applying with.) will think my study is too old and require I get a new one. My last sleep study was 2004 and I use the CPAP every night, but I don't know if it has the ability to download time/days used information. Needless to say, getting a new study done right now is not financially possible.

look at the back of the machine. if there is a slot that looks to accept an SD card then its downloadable. Can also look on the manufacturers website to check the specs for your machine.
Presently, how are you able to prove compliance if asked?
Side note, you can ask the new company what there policies are maybe ask to speak with medical dept if they have one. A letter from your doc stating its well treated and under control "should" satisfy as far as a new study goes. Insurance covers this as well if new study is needed. -
Mickeyrat68, I have not needed to supply compliance as I was a part time driver and a full time Safety Manager. I had a letter on file should we get audited, but it was never requested by the DOT during the audit. It does have a port so hopefully I will be able to take that to my sleep study facility and have them write me a letter...............just in case. As for insurance, even with Obama care insurance in this state was not affordable. Thank you for your help, I will call them Monday morning.

Better than a mere letter is a printout of activity. When I left SNI for Crete, I took my machine to a DME (Durable medical equipment) provider six miles from my house and they did it for free. Three pages of data. Do it every year now, no more than 30 days prior to my DOT physical.

48Packard, I will take it to the people who I bought it from, surely they can print it all out. Thank you all for your fed back, hopefully Tyson DOT doctor will be reasonable.

If your on cpap then when u do your dot physical the doc needs to see your numbers. I failed my physical because I didn't supply it.

Who knows? But I'm sure those clowns at the FMCSA will do their best to force everyone to be tested.
The snag with all of this BS is that we are sitting ducks already. There's going to be a bias against truckers so you're gonna be pronounced guilty before any kind of test takes place. IMHO
I'm skeptical that we are going to get a fair and balanced synopsis on this deal. We will have to wait and see. The FMCSA haven't got their act together yet. In the meantime I'm probably going to have a couple of independent analysis done, even though I'm not really on any suspects list. And I won't mention I'm a trucker. Let's see what happens. -
do you have a primary care doctor? address this with them. If having gone through ALL the indicators your doc says you dont need to have a study done then get that in writing.
