Normal or no sleep apnea is AHI range is 1-4 from what I read. I'm down to 0.2-1.3 with my machine. Before CPAP I was at 97 AHI

I think I would of asked the sleep center if they could serve me a big Thanksgiving turkey dinner with all the fixins. Followed up by a pumpkin pie and a rerun of the Cowboys vs Lions, you would of fallen asleep in no time.

The trucking company don't require any number just the D.O.T physical doctor. That's why they want to see like a 60 or 90 day sleep report from your machine. They want to see your using it and it working for you. Once they see it they will sign you medical card and your good to go. Even 30 days seems to work.

I run it off an unreptable power battery because the truck would cut power off when the the auto start for engine kick on. Not many truck have the auto start.

Second time you've promised to do this. Wonder when the 3rd time will be?

Let have some fun. Why don't someone call their doctor and ask then to explain how it's a scam ? Ask him to explain if someone is not breathing how that's ok ? Ask they to explain the AHI scale so we know that he know what he is talking about. I would like to hear how a doctor can explain it a scam or how not breathing for say 16 minutes per hour is OK ?

Everything you say is valid and fair. For anyone to dispute that is just crazy.

I think where people think it's a scam stems from how they appear to be targeting truckers because a lot of them are obviously out of shape. On the surface it appears to be an easy money grab on the backs of an industry that is already regulated to near death.

That's just how I see it, but keep in mind, I'm not someone being targeted for sleep tests, so there's no way I can have either the level of understanding nor the level of frustration of someone going thru it.

For the FMCSA end of it, I say it is a scam but for those guys and gals who's life it has changed, it isn't even considered a scam.
