I work for a company that sent me to concentra to take a physical event though I just got 2yr cert less than 3 months ago. Concentra examiners want me to take a sleep test and gave me 6 months. If I dont take sleep test and just get another physical done else where will concentra be able to get my cdl revoked?

F Concentra, they've been making everybody do sleep tests for years. It wouldn't surprise me if they were getting "referral fees" (kickbacks) from the sleep centers that conduct the tests.
AFAIK they can't revoke your CDL, especially not if you get your medical card renewed by different medical examiner before it expires.Lav-25, Opendeckin, Flat Earth Trucker and 5 others Thank this. -
Concentra are the devil.

You can not 'doctor shop' for the best results when your company requires you to use one of their clinics.
You can quit that company right now and not go through the test, and hope for better with a different company. It is not like refusing a drug test.
But if you take the sleep test and they deem you unworthy, you will be on that machine for the rest of your career.
You are NOT the one that decides which doctor to go to, it is your company.Opendeckin, Lonesome and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
14 years in with this company, by the way.
But, I can not avoid going to them by choosing my own doctor or clinic. They decide who they want, not me. -
My employer stopped using them, after them repeatedly failing driver urine tests for being diluted and sleep test BS. I was already on a CPAP, but, they failed my urine test 3X. My employer had another partner they use where they’ve never had a failed urine test and I had no issues, either. I’ve never had a failed urine test, before or after. As I told my employer, Concentra are intentionally doing something to urine tests, for multiple billing opportunities. Concentra have nothing to lose, because there will always be another business to replace the one who quit using them. However, a driver has everything to lose, using them.

I would turn down the job offer and continue my search if I were you. You have a recent card that's good for 2 years. Use it.
Some of these companies get incentivized for sending drivers to certain clinics. Then, said clinics get incentivized for referring drivers to sleep study centers. Then, sleep study centers get incentivized for selling CPAPs.
You'll just be used as a pawn for the Corporatocracy to profit from your misfortune. You certainly find a reputable carrier that will accept your current medical status without issue.RockinChair, silverspur, ducnut and 1 other person Thank this. -

One of the bright sides to being a 1099 driver, I might have to pay for it but at least I get to go to the clinic of my choice.
Opendeckin Thanks this.
