Pretty good scam, they make you buy a machine they marked up 10X, and then keep making you check back in to charge you for those appointments you never needed to begin with.
Sounds like something that the government has it's fingers in.
Wonder how many people just drive around without a license because of this BS.
Sleep test?

People need to understand there was a reason the US Congress spanked the FMCSA's butt and forced them to remove those OSA standards many years ago. This was because drivers were screaming bloody murder to their congressmen over this issue.
OSA is not something of recent origin. I remember reading a while back it was being discussed in medical circles back in the 60s. It is also not a problem with just obesity. In fact, I know more people with OSA that are normal body weight than I do people that are obese. This is one of the dirty little secrets of OSA that people don't want to discuss. Kind of like how can a small-framed person have a heart attack? For some reason, it is thought that it is only obese people that have heart problems.
This is why I stand on my position about everybody backing off. There has to be a way to measure things like breathing and pulseox other than having so many wires hooked up to you that you look like a cross between a human and a computer.
This is the thing that bothers me a lot. I know a girl that works at a local sleep clinic. One of the sleep physicians left a VERY lucrative practice as a neurologist to become a sleep specialist. Medical Examiners all across the US have a financial interest in sleep labs. Some carriers have done so as well. As I said before. ALL people are considered to have OSA unless they can prove otherwise. This is wrong on several fronts. This reminds me of a discussion I was a part of many years ago about the age limit in the US to buy alcohol. We force males at the age of 18 to register for selective service. They can go fight and die in service to this country, but can't sit and enjoy a beer legally? The person was saying it was OK to set the age at 21. I countered well if raising the age to 21 is so good let's raise it to 40! The reply I got was to stop being ridiculous. Another example that really bothers me is how the courts have diluted the state (redacted) (pervert) registry. It has got to the point today that there are 15,000 registered in Virginia. I once asked a Virginia State cop that makes contacts with these people a question. That question was simple. How many of these people are truly dangerous? He said about 10%. Today people don't even bother to look up their community to see who lives or works near them that is on that list. Why did I bring this up? I brought it up to show how easy it is to take something important especially when it comes to safety and turn it into something hideous. -
Well since most people can get over OSA by losing weight, its pretty simple to cure.
Also does the rest of your body good.
Its not like its MS or a brain tumor that you cannot do something about yourelf.
Eat less, eat healthier, go for walks, and get down to your ideal weight.
I made myself a Promise to lose 15 lbs by November 1st, and I don't have sleep problems.
But I could stand to lose 15 lbs, get back to what i weighed at age 20.Last edited: Oct 1, 2022

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and have to use a cpap machine. I've used it since December. And I can honestly say I'm miserable with it. I take sinus medicine every day now for the headache I wake up with. I feel more tired now because I wake up several times a night compared to sleeping sound all night before cpap. And if I complain to the Dr about it they say I just have to get used to it. The last appointment I had they said my bp was a little high and I told the nurse ìt was because I was pissed because nobody there would listen to me about the cpap. She shook her head and walked away. Rant over.

I tried one on for 2 minutes, and knew that it would be impossible for me to sleep wearing it.bulldog522002 Thanks this. -

There is now a dental appliance that has been shown to be effective in controlling OSA. It has been cleared by the FDA and should make you compliant.
