In a very hot weather, after working for few hours, everything gets frozen down there and stops working.
What can be the reason for that? Temp sensor? Expansion valve?
The truck is Volvo 770![]()

Yes, we just replaced my dad’s in his T600. The sleeper one went bad, then the trash clogged the other one on the firewall. The refrigerant would flow to the sleeper then up to the firewall, then start freezing the lines on the firewall and back up to the sleeper orifice and freeze it. Replaced both, now he has good cold a/c.

Overcherging and/ or tiny ice pieces can clog them also, They’ll freeze up, then turn it off, defrost, works for a while, then freezes again. Sometimes get lucky, playing the on/ off game, and drier catches it.Yours probably just sticking. Flush the lines, if you can,and pull a vacuum. I had to cut the lines on mine, had new ends welded onto lines, as they’re very expensive. Good welder In Warren, very reasonable,PM me for info if needed
DUNE-T Thanks this.
