Which twin sized model did you end up with Brickman? Gosh the 7 and 9000 models are very expensive! Just wondered if you were able to get one of those for $450. And how do you like the way it feels? Do you like it better then a traditional mattress?

I wouldnt bother with buying a mattress driver. You can and will be able to get a new 1 from the company you drive for just ask the shop for a new 1 (if the mattress in the truck is grubby). Many drivers will leave the plastic on the mattress and put a cloth mattress pad over that then their sheets and blankets. Other drivers will put their sleeping bag on top of the mattress. Why a driver would spend several hundred dollars when it is unnecessary is beyond me (unless they have some back problem or phobia issues).

Lets put it this way. The odd time I'm away from home and out of the truck that I have to sleep on an inner spring mattress I do not sleep well, and wake up in the morning with a million sore spots from all the pressure points. An air mattress does not have pressure points.

As you pointed out to me in another post I am entitled to my opinion and in this case I'll take your permission to have an opinion and have my own mattress. Am I spoiled?.... maybe but I usually sleep good thank you very much.

If I remember right the refurbished twin costs $550 now. In 2001 when I got the one I have here at home it was $350.

I'm trying to find the phone number as that is the only way to get a refurbished one.

Yeah. I'm having this problem now. I think I always Have had this problem. I have gone thru periods where my arm is constantly falling asleep. Now my back always hurts at night. I had looked into one of those sleep number beds but when I researched it, there were some posts that said they thought the bed was cheaply made. So I got turned off by it. But I would totally try a twin-size second that I could get at a discounted price.

And you have had this for several years and its still good.
One time I was a camp ground manager for a whole summer in the mountains of California. I lived in my tent and slept on a twin size air mattress. I did actually sleep better. Cept for when the bears came snooping around the outside of the tent... then i didn't sleep better.:biggrin_25523:
