To be clear, my sarcastic supertrucker comment wasn’t directed at anyone in particular, just a general statement. But hey, if the shoe fits, feel free to wear it. ;)

I stopped going north of the border more than ten years ago so got no idea what it's like up there, but I do spend quite a lot od my time in the great lakes region. Parking is plentiful even in upper Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota if you plan for it. Its when you insist on running ot the 11 hour clock that it becomes an issue. It's not a difficult concept. Simply plan on stopping early where parking will be available.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. But hey, what do I know, I only run us2 and m28 from Duluth to Sault Ste. Marie on a weekly basis. Limited parking. Even less places with a shower. In fact I can only think of one with showers on that whole stretch. That’s a 415 mile stretch btw.

Truckers path shows a dozen truck stops and 3 rest areas along that route. Im sure not all of them have parking, but there is parking to be had if you plan for it and are willing to adjust your schedule for it.

Personally if I booked a legal load on that route where I didn't have to deal with curfews I would plan on parking at the holiday in munising, mi. That leaves 2 back up locations before getting to 75 where there is additional parking, tho less reliable late in the day. If I ran it regularly I would scope out picklemans in newberry to see if it was reliable later in the day.

My Dad grew up in Marquette, we used to go up to spend family vacations there and in Munising. I remember driving the family station wagon on the legendary “Seney Stretch” (25 miles of straightaway through a swamp on M28) when I was 16 and had just gotten my drivers license. Dad didn’t unclench until we got to Munising!

Trust me, I know where they all are. Rapid river is only place with showers. Some need coffee first thing, I need a shower.
