Run up in Northern Ontario (Canada) at 2am without high beams and see how quickly those Moose can get in front of ya. There's a reason trucks that run the 11 and 17 usually have the moose lights on top of the mirrors pointed towards the forest.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Yup, you got me. I'm lease-purchasing a 15+ year old Mack daycab from Swift, doing site work and pulling freight in & out of mines & quarries. Used to drive a log truck for Swift, too.:biggrin_25517:

Answered as honestly as possible. If the money is right, I'll haul anything anywhere it needs to go, whenever it needs to get there...whether a road will get me there or I need to blaze my own trail makes no difference to me. Doesn't matter if it's 100 degrees and sunny or 20 below and blowing snow. Show me the money, and I'll get the job done. It's what I do.

If you were important enough to warrant the type of answer you're looking for, I'd give it to you...but you aren't. Sorry 'bout your luck.

I was running the 11/17 for the last 14 years almost weekly only thing I almost hit was half a dozen trucks in my lane forcing me to the shoulder while they play the speed limiter race going around curves .. Now I stay outta ontario and my stress is gone btw most the guys I saw smoke a moose had moose lights and moose bumper yet still didn't brake until last second .. Completely different world up there last few years every trip you see numerous trucks in ditch summer or winter . It's pretty ridiculous
