With grain wagons we load off of our air gauges all the time. Its really more accurate than you would think. Gauge is plumbed to air bags on truck and one more to trailer bags.

It depends on the state. 12000 is max in KS. Best to look in front of your map book to make sure. Also even the 20k states (most states) you can't go over the axel (often 12k) or tire (often about 12.4k) weight limits.
That was basically how I use to teach it. I would use rocks or even spit to mark the spot on the ground the line it up with my step. Hopefully the OP understood what you were trying to teach him.ncmickey Thanks this. -
Yea, I don't know if I explained it well... But it's an easy trick that works. Maybe you can explain it better? Lol
I could easily show him but typing it while tired isn't as easy!!
