Does anyone use it? Is there a subscription to the channels inside the sling app?

The history channel for instance, has an app, but requires registration and a link to current house service provider. Is that still required or does it automatically work in the sling app.

The sling itself costs $25 to get the history channel and some others i'd like to have. But i don't know if that fee is worth it if there's additional fees for each channel.

Tivo costs $15 a month. Great for over the air channels. But requires a provider if you want extra channels. Seems kind of pointless to me consider those other providers provide recording boxes.

Cbs has an app on roku. But there's a fee to watch it on the internet when it's free through other methods.

With TV fast becoming internet. It seems like the airwaves for signal COULD be coming to an end. But the options just don't seem to viable to do that. Satellite and Cable have both gotten ridiculously priced. To which i'm looking to get rid of. But considering it's all one bill where as internet tv is a charge for each channel. And i could still end up paying the same amount. But with individual charges instead of just one cable bill.

I don't watch many channels on cable or satellite. Since the beginning it always been a lot of junk i never watch. Be nice to ditch tv and just have the channels i only watch. Along with the locals. But don't feel i should have to pay for locals just because i'd rather use the internet system over the airwave system.

The sling app looks to have everything i want but still with extra garbage. The only thing it don't have, is cbs and abc channels. I'd gladly pay $25 for sling if i don't have to pay for the channels it contains as an additional cost.

I use sling at home and occasionally log on with my tablet out on the road. Downfall of it is that it's not on demand. It's basically live tv. Most channels have a few shows you can stream but it's hit or miss. I use it to watch the walking dead when I have to leave out Sunday
