LTL companies are famous for slip seating. The P&D drivers will run their route during day shift and then the road driver/dock workers will use the same trucks to move freight from terminal to terminal during night shift.
I hated that part. You never had a ride to your own and there is always whiney babies. I got jumped on for smoking in the truck once. If you want me to run Chicago rush hour every evening I'm smoking, lol. You have twenty drivers and two don't smoke, guess what's going to happen?
On the other end you get a truck full of garbage because someone else is too lazy to clean it out. Slip seating trucks are usually ragged out. If you can overlook that part, the money is good.
