Took a few pictures in our truck barn today. I had to drive the one with the binders hanging from the frame today because mine's in the shop and the guy that normally drives it was out sick. I threw 'em in a pile in the corner and put them back when I parked it this afternoon. Maybe I'm overblowing it but no way I'd pull out of the lot with my truck looking like these. Yet probably 2/3 of our trucks go out like this every day.

Wow. Isn't it technically illegal by dot standards for that to be held by a bungee?

A tarp strap is not a load securement device because it does not have a working load limit.

I keep my tarps on the catwalk too. But I've got them secured with a strap marked with a WLL just to keep things legal. I slip seat with a guy that likes to squirrel stuff all around the outside of the truck and it drives me nuts. I pass at least one scale a day and even though 99% of the time they greenlight me to bypass, I don't care to give them a reason to take a closer look when they don't. I think we've reached an understanding lately. He can do whatever he wants so long as he doesn't leave it looking like the Clampetts packed it to move to Beverly Hills when I come in.

Personally, I blame the company for not giving us enough storage. The saddle box in the picture is the only storage we have. Everything else gets dumped in the passenger floorboard.
