47 cpm, not much better haha. This job has become very unpredictable of what you'll make a week at our DC of 200 drivers on the West Coast. The management really put in no thought when they gave away 8 long distance super centers to another DC and kept hiring more drivers.

We've been crazy busy last 2 months, before that, Jan, & feb were brutal slow. We just finished a 5 week mandatory extend, and they're asking for volunteers to extend as we're "busy with no end in sight" mainly because of soil going hard and heavy. Just did 3130 on my 6/3. But man, back in Jan & feb, one week go home day was Tuesday, they sent me home Monday 10am. Then made every Thursday & Friday out day switch to Wednesday out.

Voluntary extends the last 2 weeks for us. 2501 miles for me this week.

Kills me to hear all of that! Be happy and never complain, because when management gives away all your long stores you'll be missing the work. Safe travels.

That's great. I only work 5 days and think the best I've done is a 2500 mile week in 2 years. Just way to many drivers and not enough long hauls at our place. We only run out of 2 DC's and never venture out much into neighboring regions.

They sent out a message wanting 3/2 and 5/5 drivers to volunteer to work on there week off. Sorry my previous employer broke me from volunteering for anything.

I can't figure out how to extend my week... I always end my go home day with only a couple of hours left on 70 ;-) . Oh well I live 3+hours away and actually enjoy my hometime.

I always would've been worthless when they asked us to extend as well. I let me clock run all day and during that time I'm usually turning miles or doing something work related.

    Coover Thanks this.
