SLOW DOWN!!!

i like when the jake is set on high too in the parkin lot

 

....toll booths....that's another place. I do the posted speed, be it 5 or 15. You see those attendants having to walk across those lanes. They'll pause on the island to allow traffic to go by, but there is not much standing room there. And this time of year, heaven help the one who may slip and fall.

I'm about anal when it comes to going slow in truck stops and toll booths and the like. Unless I'm making eye contact with someone walking in those areas, I'm assuming they don't see me.

 

I about had one knocked over on me back in July. Driver moved that thing about four feet at least,scared the holy crap out of me cause my back was to it.Thought the canopy was coming down for a second.

 

If you bring to the drivers attention they will just yell back on the cb to mind your own business.That's the mentality of drivers now.

 

Good thing most of these truck stops sell underwear, huh? Geez....unbelievable....I'd have probably gone off on the guy....but then again, I'm finding less and less patience at my disposal over such things nowadays....

 

Set jakes in the ECM to turn off under 25mph.

Call you super trucker and tell you to drive your own truck. Just makes me shake my head at the stupidity of some of the drivers out here.

And whoever said it is correct...it's not just new drivers or drivers from the mega carriers. You see owner operators, older drivers, younger kids etc.... It seems to reflect society nowadays...most could care less about how their actions affect everyone else. "It's all about me". Used to get bent over the terrible driving habit and attitudes in truck stops etc... but it does no good. It falls on deaf ears and just raises one's blood pressure.

 

People get killed in these parking lots by inattentive drivers, speeding drivers, etc. I care about my company's equipment because it gets me a paycheck. I also don't want to hurt anyone. Good post Logan. Slow the hell down.

 

Give 'em a break. It's not their fault. They don't realize how fast they're going, because they're talking on the phone or texting!

 

If they say that, I just tell them I was until your ####### came through here.
