Oh and I turn off my Jakes as I am getting off the highway. It's called driving.
kerosene jockey Thanks this. -
When I hit a lot my gears go to low, it stays in low until parked. If you are in that big of a hurry you need to learn how to manage your time a little better.Logan76, Raiderfanatic, Trucail and 3 others Thank this.

Driver, I also drive one of those 63 mph dragsters. Oh yeah we drive for the same company. Lol! I also observe "Governed Truck Etiquette". There is no point leaving somebody out there for 4-5 miles trying to pass me. Pointless. Then again that almost always happens to me, 4-5 miles to pass somebody. Really? I totally agree with the OP, Drivers need to slow down in congested areas. Aside from tearing through the lots I also enjoy watching Drivers tearing across the CAT scale to get to the parking area.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who will back off a bit.

Wondering how many accidents have been caused by these guys speeding through parking lots. Anyone have a clue?
I certainly don't approve of the behavior: I've had drivers slam the brakes because they would've hit me as I walked my dog around.. Feel like I need to start wearing reflective clothing and carrying lights and stuff around with me if its dark out.
I'm just curious if there's any stats on this, or I guess personal anecdotes are better than nothing.aiwiron Thanks this. -
Likewise. I don't WANT another truck next to me for that long.

Wouldn't know about actual accidents....but I'll bet there are enough incidents that would qualify as "close calls" to alarm a lot of us here.

I drive a 68 mph large car!!!!! Lol. But I back off to let people in as well. No use holding up traffic. I'll pass you later. Especially if you're back doors are shiny. I can make sure I look good that way while I'm behind you. Lol.

I drive a wide open truck, sometimes pulling is slower with a heavy load than say a 63 mph truck and if I am in the granny lane and a creeper comes up beside me I will drop down and let them in. Figure of you can pull up beside me no need for traffic to back up.puncher Thanks this.
