Do things tend to slow down this time of year in tankers? Thinking about making the jump and curious what miles per week is looking like at superior?

I don’t think it’s slow I’ve been working a little to much for my liking lately
-
Ya, its been unpleasantly busy. January should be slow.
-
How long do you slow down for normally?
-
I’m not sure but I’m guessing just January because I started last February and we were busy as crap then
-
It's supposed to be slower in December/January, but I haven't noticed any slowdown.
-
Is that normal for tankers...or just Superior?
-
Typically yes but I have been seeing a lot of Superior drivers lately so it looks like they are pretty busy from what I can tell. I never had a problem staying busy in the winter when I was there. If you do get laid up somewhere waiting on a load they pay you for laying over.

We are just starting to ramp up. My terminal has new lanes and new products, even started running iso containers out n back to NJ. This time last year it was S L O W, not so much this year.

What is it about tankers that would dictate a "slow" season?
