Smaller Company?

turnover rate is directly proportional to quality of drivers
and unrealistic expectations of newbies
just as many small terrible companies as large
preconceived notions of what the job is and isnt is the problem

 

Anyway MZ O.P. you started this thread for ideas on what to do-I gave you one on another thread. Also try www.truckpaper.com under the help wanted section and..I would also check out craigslist. Counter to what anyone says;there are good jobs to be found there but the riff-raff must be sorted through. I'm sure with all you're experience you know how.

 

Bumpy is right. I found the job I am going to through an ad they had on Craigslist. When I asked why they posted their opening on CL I was told "It was free to post and we didn't have anything to lose".

 

I know a nephew of mine applied to a flatbed company he found on truckpaper.com in W MO..but the ######## isn't answering the phone when I call.. Maybe the State Workforce Center's in your area could help too? I mean-just surf their websites.. Also..try indeedjobs.com.

D. Mosley out of Lawtey, FL. is the only "small" company I can think of that does securement training but they don't do refreshers. Most small companies won't train for securement. They don't have the time or funds for a truck to sit while your being taught unlike big companies than can afford to do so. But it all depends on what you consider "small". Anywhere from 1-200 trucks to me is small 300-800 midsize 1000+ large.

 

Not sure if we are hiring (a VERY good sign BTW), but you can call and see what they say.......
