I got Verizon unlimited data. Using my phone as a hot spot, I can watch movies, just perfectly, on my laptop.
    This is pretty bad ###.

Shardrk, VIDEODROME and QuietStorm Thank this.

I use my other phone (old Unlimited vzw plan) as a hotspot only.
Works great. Now the new unlimited plan on the other hand was so slow it was not usable. (after 22 gigs)
    Of course YMMV

Yep. I watch TV all the time using my cell phone as a hot spot.

Wanna have fun? Take a glance out the window and see what company trucks you see. Then name your wifi hotspot after their truck, with an expletive in the front. I've done:

    "f00k swift"
    "heartless express"
    "f99K noisy reefers"
    "flatbeds have flat heads"
"truck drivers cant get real jobs"

Then if they scan for wifi in the parking lot they'll get a surprise.
