That's why I plan on running mostly out of CA, and the 55 MPH speed limit is BS. I'd rather have the chance to get 700 miles in a day than only 500.
Now if I can only convince the wife.....

So, you would rather be able to go faster to raise your income potential? The government sets a speed limit and it's BS, but a company does it without even telling anyone and that's perfectly acceptible? How about if the government made us put on some sort of speed limiter because THEY wanted us to conserve fuel and stuck us at 50MPH? Ultimately we might see lower fuel prices because of the lower consumption, but the earning potential is also lowered, so the drop in fuel prices really did us no good.

Some folks think they can -- and some folks DO.
Sometimes.
You're a company Big truck truck driver,.... right?
Would job security qualify as doing you "no good"?
No fuel for the Big trucks -- no need for a driver of same.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.........................

I drive for Florilli they truned down the trucks down to 64(their website states 65) any how...its just a pay cut for the people who do the work...
I asked my fleet manager if everyone who works in the office got a pay cut also???? the responce was (they can not talk about it) all that tells me is they did not get a paycut..... -
This whole situation is getting way out of hand..........

I guess I should say a little more than that.
After running operating and owning my own business, it is mind blowing to think the industry does'nt have the balls to stand up together and say to all customers costs are going up period.
Companies cannot absorb the higer fuel costs and also cut back on drivers earnings because of their own fears.
Support staffs, maint., operat. etc. would not exist if it was not for drivers.
When fuel started going up 3-4 years ago I told my customers f/s was going up immediately, no absorbing. I lost a few customers(FEW) but i did not suffer from the loss with the gains of the f/s
Too many people willing to take cheap freight for now and not looking longterm affects to themselves. Not knowing how to run a business.
Things are going to come to some kind of head very soon, my wife called me today complaining unleaded in georgia was 4.16 reg 4.68 prem.
aaaarrrrggghhh
well enough for now ................... -
Well stated, Jash!

I'm glad you said more.

Thats correct if the world was perfect.. They don't tell the drivers what is going to happen so we are left in the dark..and there drivers don't quite at the same time..
That would be nice if they did that or even a company letter every mouth as to keep the employee update with what mangment my be thinking
A pay cut is better than comeing into the yard and told to clear out the truck the company has closed and filed chapter 11...oh yea and by the way your 401k you don't get and anything they may owe you
AFTERSHOCK IS CORRECT
