I didn't realize how few and far between truck stops, rest areas and stuff like that was until I started driving a truck. Hell, I thought Buc-ee's was a truck stop the whole time I've been in Texas until I tried to stop at one. You'd be surprised what you don't see when you're not looking.

Exit 77 on I 49 in Lamar, Mo. Truckstop has a self serve truck wash.

Non Blue Beacon truck washes in Pauls Valley, Ok- I 35 X 72, and Toms Brook, Va next to the Loves, I 81 X 291 were always pretty good.

My mom and step dad have lived in Cle Elum for almost 20 years so know that area well. Hate that chewed up pavement between there and North Bend where the TA is. They are re-doing some sections but most of it especially on the westbound side is still awful.
