Well hello drivers! Since it’s almost winter I do want to be prepared. Question. How many chains are required in the most stringent of states (Oregon, Colorado, etc) and which axels are required? Thanks and Merry Christmas.

What did Mr. T say?

Most stringent im aware of is washington. They require 4 drives, 1 trailer, and 2 extra still on the truck.
IluvCATS Thanks this. -
Nobody requires steers to be chained do they?

Oregon 4 drives and 2 trailer tires. Dont get caught not using them on ice.

They did not require to chain steers but I did once in Seattle because it snowed, they packed it onto the road and it started raining good. slickest crap I have seen yet. Only chained to get truck as far off road as possible because you could barely stand on that ice without hitting the ground.
NavigatorWife, IluvCATS and VIDEODROME Thank this.
