It indicates an outside air temp getting close or in the freezing range to warn of possible ice patches on road surface.

thank you for the responce. well this one indicates that my boys turned the fridge on with out telling me. my wife asked me this morning why the outside temp guage flashed "ice" as it was raining dropping down johnson pass. it was reading 36 deg. sorry for the silly question. we still have some snow in the trees beside the road so your responce was valid. the snowflake goes out when you turn the switch on the sleeper control panel off.

indicates the fridge may ice, drink responsibly.

just out of curiousity, if you park for the weekend, or reset, will the fridge drain the (non-starting) batteries?
