    It's that time of the year again. Snow is starting to fly, and guess who gets to drive through it for the second time this year? This guy. Maybe we can use this post to tell some of our snow adventures this year.

    Wish me luck. Heading from Amarillo to Denver up US287. Should be interesting.

    Last winter I driving across Elk Mountain in Wyoming in the middle of the night in a huge snowstorm. The roads were like packed snow over ice. All the other trucks were going maybe 20 miles an hour, I decided to pass at 25 miles per hour. While passing the wind kicked up and I was in a complete white out in the fast lane making a pass! I was scared sh*tless!

    For all you new May drivers who have never driven in the snow and ice pulling a 53' ft trailer, be afraid... very afraid :)

    I got lucky today. All I got was rain and a little blowing snow. Nothing major. Just waiting for a big storm to hit me though. Denver did get 5-7 inches in places.

    I have heard he had to leave due to health issues. I never met the guy but all I heard was good things about the man. I hope he is getting better.

    I talked to Tom (Papa Smurf) a couple of mos. ago. He is experiencing physical setbacks on a couple of levels. His driving days are over.
