This storm sucks. I swear it's gonna follow me to Denver. Left Stanfield pilot this morning heading east. 35 minutes later I was putting the shoes on the beast. My first time doing that on something this big, and I'm too fat for that shtuff. Not too bad really. We at least ran 65 miles with them on to make it worth while. Broke two of them, just the cross pieces. Had to stop and secure then to protect the new truck. They had us chain at the bottom of cabbage even though it was bare and wet all the way up. That's where I broke the first one. The second one broke there in the valley between La Grande and Ladd canyon. Bare wet pavement again for the most part. Hopefully I can get to Denver without doing that again. My back is sore from it this time. Be safe out there folks.

And that is why I am still sitting in Redding. There has been a wind advisory all day north of Weed. That and snow has shut down I5 north of Redding for the last 9 hours...

I-84 from the 86 interchange all the way to the Utah state line is closed as of 7:45 pm on 1-21-12. Blowing and drifting snow with limited visibility.

I saw that one... Sucks for him. It was really windy, wonder if he got blown over... That was a wild stretch; got stuck in the I-84 shutdown at Boardman, ran out of hours right as they opened it back up. Oh well.
