I agree with you on that completely. I personally think training for truck driving should be almost like the training for getting a private pilots license. I know most people would scream at me for having that sentiment but I believe if it wasn't for going through flight school for my very first license for anything I think I would treat cars and trucks with the little respect you see most of the younger drivers coming into this industry treat it. Learning that you have to respect that plane, do your pretrip the same way every time, and really take care of the equipment has played a huge roll in how I look at any type of vehicle before I get in it each day. Most people seem to forget, you can't just pull a plane over at the next cloud if the engine stops or find the closets TA to get fuel when you're 2000 feet up. If this industry has the same regulations as the faa and it was standardized across the country, we would have professionals that know what they are doing out on the road and not "kids" playing with big toys.
so choice load... lease?

I stand corrected..thanks for that.
Nice to know someone who knows nothing about trucking and get their CDL through Prime and a year later train some other clueless newbie.
All because they meet the standards of PRIME.
Keep on hammering.. -
I resent that. I was a clueless newbie only 6 months ago. Yet I've had no accidents, nor ever even came close to hitting ANYTHING except for the pole I so slightly tapped. I'm proving you wrong day in and day out. Going into the north east is reward enough I'm it's self if you drive down the streets around Boston without hitting anything, I think you could pretty much drive anywhere in North America anyways. Just a thought.

How can you say "without hitting ANY thing except for the pole I slightly tapped" and say you haven't even come close to an accident.
That's like saying I don't do drugs I just smoke weed.Drifter42, tazman74, rickybobby and 7 others Thank this. -
Or "I did not inhale..."
-
because technically I didn't hit it it jumped out in front of my trailer, duh don't you know nothing. But it didn't affect , my safety record or my csa, nor will it be on my record.
-
Sorry there I forgot that all it takes is 6 months to know everything, Ive only got 18 years so you're way more experienced than I.
Don't think it's on your record ? If you reported it to anyone wait til you change jobs and I'd bet it comes back to bite you.
But hey what do I know you're a seasoned accomplished driver who has never hit ANY thing!91B20H8 Thanks this. -
Get off my lawn unless you feel lucky punk, well DO YA?

Sorry those thoughts just keep popping up -
Dang I didn't know that poles did like deer and jump out in front of you...Better keep my eye out for those #### things.
TennMan Thanks this.
