Yes a new Shaker is $1k down, I almost got one because I wanted to do a 1 year lease and then get another new truck right after which isn't offered on the KW. The deal breaker for me was the no APU and $1800 extra if I wanted one. So I went ahead and put $5k down on a KW and did a 3 year lease.
You get a $1,400 bonus from Schneider into your maintenance account when you lease on with a new truck, so I knew that would be been a wash with a new FL if I went that route.
Only used Shakers you can get for zero down.
I know nothing about second leases. -
they aren't paying you enough if you have to squeeze out MPGs just to get by.damonarnold816 and T_TRUCKER. Thank this.

Were lucky to get $2
-
what's you're average rate to the truck all miles and average miles per week?
-
I meant $2 per mile and I'll run my numbers when I get to 90 In about 2 hours. And get back to youfreightwipper Thanks this.

So you don't have the option to purchase the truck at the end of your lease term? Also, I had seen it before, but I can't seem to find it...what company do they offer medical, dental, etc. through? Does anyone have it and know what the weekly cost is for a family plan? Are they good plans or are they high deductible, high co-pay etc.?
-
Yes you have the option to buy at the end of the term.
You're an IC here not an employee so you're not getting no good health insurance offerings.
Even if you were an employee who knows. At Crete I remember mine was $100 a month for personal with a $1k deductible. Now I foot the bill on my own. Schneider does offer something but it's soo horrible I passed it up lol -
SFI offers a walk away lease.
You're free and clear to walk away at end of 12 or 36 months.
I'm not trying to be negative ( it sometimes just comes so easy I don't need to try) I can understand the 1 year lease so if it's not successful you have an out. But why anyone can't give it a years effort and not need a walk away lease I don't get.
To me that's giving up on your self before you start.
IC isn't easy or for everyone. It's tougher than being company but well worth it.Home_on_wheels, Moving Forward, maurice80 and 5 others Thank this. -
So we said run my numbers in since I started the lease April 19th. the truck has grossed 21,659.21 (after reimbursements) paid 5,456.27 in fuel (just got an apu so fuel cost is high .423 cpm). So Im making $1.681 cpm since I've started the lease.
damonarnold816 Thanks this.
